It is a safe, painless procedure performed on female dogs during their season. Progesterone is produced before ovulation and this characteristic of the canine estrus cycle determines when the bitch ovulates.
Mistimed breeding is a common cause of “infertility” for the bitch. Canine cytology swab testing can identify the optimum breeding window.
